BrainRelief’s 4-Day August WORKSHOPS FOR UNDERACHIEVING TEENS (Monday – Thursday)
For high school students: 8/4 – 8/7, 2008 and /or 8/18 – 8/21 from 9:30 a.m. – Noon.
For middle school students: 8/11 – 8/14 from 9:30 a.m. – Noon
Fee of $200 per student includes all materials and daily snacks.
G/T kids need to meet, chat with, and play stimulating educational games with their peers. Underachieving gifted kids may have AD/HD, Learning Disabilities or Other Health Impairments, Depression, OCD or OD, or have trouble making friends. They may hate to read or write. They're also creative, have great imaginations, are funny, and super-sensitive. They have high potential, but haven't met it yet, and they tend to be visual, right-brained learners.

Academic/Life Coach Anne S. Roberts, MA, is an experienced high school Special Education teacher for Gifted Teens. She was also an English/Language Arts teacher at several FCPS high schools, most recently at TJHSST. She herself has AD/HD and is visual and right-brained.

New Greeting for“ I'm sorry that the descriptions of the teen meetup have led to Dan's misconception of the intent of the meetup on Jan. 12. I'm an experienced Spec. Ed. H.S.teacher of Gifted and last taught at Thomas Jefferson H.S. (TJHSST). G/T kids do need to meet peers. My purpose is to facilitate a discussion group for frustrated kids.
